The SHADE AIDE ® 316 stainless steel option is uniquely NEMA 4X-rated. This SHADE AIDE ® stays tough against oil spray, water jets and chemical corrosion. We recomment for indoor applications like factories and outdoor or offshore environments, such oil rigs. Whether it’s sun, dust and debris, heavy water spray or oil and chemical spillage, the NEMA 4X-rated SHADE AIDE ® can handle it.

All of our SHADE AIDES ® models come highly rated! Our IP66 rating means you can trust our product to keep your HMI fully dust-tight and protected from water from heavy seas or powerful jet projections. Additionally, we are UL certified, which acknowledges that our HMI enclosures can protect by NEMA 4 standards for our aluminum-coated SHADE AIDES ® and NEMA 4X for our stainless steel version. If you have your HMI located in a highly corrosive environment, we recommend getting our stainless steel SHADE AIDE ® for corrosion resistance.
